Beautiful roses. We gave up on trying to grow roses a long time ago, pulling out everything but the two heirloom climbers. Even though Oregon is a rose producing state (and Portland the 'City of Roses), we simply got tired of fighting black spot and rust, which is a common occurrence in a climate as wet as ours.
And yes, I believe that is a bottle of baby oil sitting next to the bathing beauty (Friday Freebie), and yes, I do remember when we all did that for a great 'summer' tan. How times (and information) change huh?

Such a pretty flower but wicked thorns! I tore out my knockout rose bush because of that.

Your flowers are amazingly gorgeous! Spring is in the air there--but autumn is coming here in NZ.
