I Can Land This Thing...Really I Can!

Waiting for the Tall Ships to arrive last month, I was entertained by the birds.  Their landings were not always graceful!
Watch out below!
I can do it...

Abort landing...abort landing!

I'm flying!
Tail up, tail up!
Perfect 2 point landing!
Keep your head up, I said!
There, much better!  I told you I could do it!

Linking to the Bird D'pot and Wild Bird Wednesday.

Great set of pictures - I have often wondered what ot must feel like for a bird to give up the air and touch down on water or land.

Very nice pictures.

PS: sorry about the lack of thumbnails this week – will get it right for WBW #3

Nice shots, Linda! It's funny to watch birds land in water when they're a bit clumsy.

Hi Linda, Great photos . . . I enjoy watching wildlife, too. Steve built a squirrel feeder in the backyard and we've been getting a real kick out of watching them.

It is always great to hear for you. Thank you for your sweet comment about my journal pages. Blogging sisters are the best!
Have a great day, Connie :)

Great shots, lovely birds.

In their defense, it looks like they had some choppy water to deal with. I love their "comments". So much fun to make animals talk. My Facebook friends love it when Chet the puppy talks about his adventures.

Can't decide which is better the photography or the narrative.

Excellent job with both.

Aren't they hard to photograph?!
