Retirement!
After much thought, I have decided to retire this blog. I appreciate the followers, the faithful who view and make comments, and those who simply view without comment. However, it has become increasingly difficult to do justice to 2 blogs, and I am finding it a chore, rather than a joy. I would rather do one thing well, than several things poorly. And I feel there have been times when I have posted something mediocre, just to have something to say. That wasn't the reason I started blogging, and is not how I want to be known.
So, having said that, I leave you with a final photo and quote...

That's a fair enough decision, Linda. From the moment something you started doing for enjoyment turns into a chore, it is time to give it up. I have enjoyed viewing what you post here, but I will sure follow your other two blogs.
Hi Linda, Sometimes that is the way things go. My husband and I opened a photography studio in 1987 and ran it for eight years, until it just wasn't love. It started taking everything we loved about photography and turning it into a daily grind. I think that you are making a wise decision. I'm going now, to check out your other blogs. Keep enjoying your retirement . . . it's a time to do the things that make you happy.

I know EXACTLY how you feel Linda. I have a photo blog that I started for my best pics and it worked for a long time. I haven't posted on it for about three months. I think I'll go back to it at some point but two is a lot to handle.
I've run across that quote a few times and thought of using it. It is appropriate here. Your 'Road Awaits' so happy trails!
Linda, as someone who also struggles with two blogs, poor health and a ailing parent I do understand your decision and I respect your need to make it.
Besides all of your readers know that reopening this blog in the future is a very simple task if you should change your mind. And, we all know it is a girls right to change her mind!
Just know, that I have never found anything you posted here, or elsewhere, to be mediocre by any definition of the word.
I wish you all the best, less stress and great pleasure in the things you do with your newfound time.
Hi Linda, I can understand. Sometimes it is hard to find the time to do one post much less two. I do have my travel blog but that is strictly for my travel photos, so I do not post as often. I love the quote and the photo you chose for your last post. Have a great day!
