Gull Convention!

Visiting Anastasia Island in St. Augustine, FL was such a treat.  We camped there in the state park for 5 days in January 2010.  The weather was not really warm, but the water and the surroundings were so beautiful!   I had great fun watching these gulls...they were spread out along the beach...

I guess I got too close and they scattered, but their flight path was gorgeous!  This was one of my favorite shots from that trip and has been used on my note cards many times!

 Back they came...for another meeting...

Apparently this fella decided it was time to leave...

And pretty soon, all that was left was the tracks...

I know some people aren't crazy about gulls but I love their expressions! Yeah I think they are expressive :) They have a sense of humor too! Fun to see their feetie tracks in the sand.

what great shots! my oldest son was eating a sandwich at the beach when he was very young, like 4 and a gull came and snatched it out of his hands...he has been kind of afraid of them ever since!!

Not many gulls here in landlocked Lanark. I heard one this morning, though. Usually it is the hawk!
