Ruby Tuesday - Parrots!

While we were in Pigeon Forge, TN, we visited Parrot Mountain - a beautiful place, full of all kinds of birds. This beauty was just one of the ones we saw - some had warnings not to touch because they would bite - but others could be hand fed.  In this particular species, the female is red, the male is green!

What a lovely parrot. I've never seen a red one before. And, that blue is so vivid as well.

What a lovely bird and how unusual for the female to be brighter that the male. She must camouflage herself among the beautiful red tropic flowers.
Thanks for stopping by and for the sweet comment you left. Have a great day, Connie :)
P.S. Good to see that Dan is on the mend.
