When OpSail visited Norfolk last week, the color red was everywhere! There were red flags, red bicycles, a red train, and children dressed in red, white and blue performing. It was a feast for the eyes!
OpSail is an event that happens here occasionally - the last time in 2000. This time, the theme was the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. As you can see, there was a lot going on!

Hi Linda, what fun! Thank you for flying our flag . . . what a nice country you live in. I also want to thank you for visiting my blog and for the sweet comments you left. You're a real sweetie pie, Connie :)
you've caught the excitement and activity perfectly!
looking like the perfect weather for it too :) TY Linda ~
Lovely red captures, Linda. Sorry I have not been around much, but I have anew job and it takes up a lot of my time...
Canada is celebrating the War of 1812 too. Many believe the war defined Canada so the anniversary is BIG here.
What a wonderful event to attend. A awsome way to spend a day.
looks fun! I wish I knew more history...I know so little about that war...I'll have to ask my kids.
many beautiful pictures of RED to choose from :-) Dropping by from last weeks RT2
