Afternoon Skywatch

On my other blog, The Road Awaits, I posted photos of the fences we saw at Sandbridge on Sunday afternoon.  I reserved the sky shots for Skywatch Friday (linking here).

Love the golden glow above the dunes...and the pelican flying.
The golden glow quickly turned pink...
Off to the south, the clouds were towering!
Competing birds in flight...
Farewell, colorful evening sky!

Gorgeous colors. I love this time of the day.
About the trains. The closeness of the trains in this area is why we go there. It's so cool to stop and pick up a lunch, drive just past the end of those fences, and find a place to watch trains while you eat. We are avid train watching fans, and go at least 4 days out of the week. What a wonderful hobby. In our area the train traffic has slowed somewhat though, and that is sad.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Beautiful shots of the sky! My first sky was near Lynchburg, the other 3 not far from home.

I don't know if it's hot there, but the heat sure does conjure up the pretty sunsets. These are gorgeous!
