The "I Don't Know What it Is" Bloom?
I guess if I took the time to Google it, I might figure it out, but things have been so crazy in my world lately, I just haven't taken the time to do it, and now here it is Tuesday and time for Ruby Tuesday 2 and I still don't know what it is. If anyone does, I would love to know! If not, please just enjoy the unique "thingamajig" on this stem!

I don’t either....but it certainly is unique and interesting. The splotches of color are a real eye catcher. It also look like one of the scratchy brushes at my kitchen sink :-) genie

I'm with the others, I do not know what it is. But, my gut is yelling that it is some type of fungus. Can't wait to see if anyone knows the answer.

When I have a question I send a photo of it to the University of MO Extension office, under the tab Ask an Expert. Maybe your state has something like this.
