Little Red Caboose

Seen on my visit to Clifden, VA in February, still festooned with Christmas lights and wreath...I couldn't resist taking the photos since hubby retired from Norfolk Southern RR, formerly Norfolk & Western RR...

And my sister's children couldn't resist taking an imaginary ride...

Linking to Ruby Tuesday 2.

The red sure looks beautiful against the trees before they leaf out. Love the photo of the kids on the caboose. :)

You don't see red cabooses much any more -- this is a great example, Linda. :)

Cabooses are history, which is too bad, because they were quirky little cars, bringing up the rear of the trains!

I really miss seeing the little read caboose behind the train. They are rarely red and most of the time there isn't one behind the train anymore. Just one of those things from our past . . . I don't really see this future time of ours, being better, do you?

Love it when you find one of these old train cars that you are allowed to actually climb on. They can be so much fun for a photo shoot.
